Meet Your Artist: Rachael Higham
Rachael Higham is a North Kingstown, Rhode Island native. She attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Anthropology and she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Nutrition through Maryland University of Integrative Health. While always drawn to art, Rachael did not truly begin her love affair with it until after college when she began to study pottery. For the past eight years, she has been enjoying the process of combining functionality with beauty while exploring the techniques of hand building and wheel throwing. In all of Rachael’s art, she incorporates the natural world through various means, such as glazes, textures, and form.
