Meet Your Artist: Pamela Pitt
Born and raised in Rhode Island, I grew up in Warwick and summered I Wickford. Graduated from URI where I majored in Textiles, Clothing, and Related Arts. Upon graduation I began a long career in retail management which eventually brought me north to New Hampshire where I have lived ever since. During that time, I continued to summer in Wickford. Recently my husband and I purchased a house in North Kingstown so that I could come home to where my family isI have always had a love for nature. Especially the ocean, birds and all animals. I enjoy creating items using natural items found in our surroundings. I find the beauty in simple things like shells, crabs,sea glass driftwood etc. I have been collecting beach glass since I was a little girl and my
father would take us to Dutch Island to explore. It was legal back then . Recently, I have taken up photography and love to capture the innocence of the birds and beauty of an early sunrise or the force of the surf on a stormy day.Presently my creations and photographs are featured at
the Village Faire in Wickford, on ETSY, at various arts and crafts festivals and for my first year at ArtVenture in hopes of inspiring others to open their eyes to the beauty around them.
